I just reviewed a motion detection video. It missed small amounts of clearly visible motion which I saw in real time, starting a good 3 to 4 seconds before the motion detection activated. If you have a home router, have you checked that UPNP is enabled in your home router? UPNP might be disabled. You could enable it so that Yawcam can get everything configured. Once everything is configured, you can disable UPNP. Give this a try and see if this resolves your issues.

I installed and started testing Yawcam only a couple of hours ago. The default settings generally are quite good. It would be nice to have begin and end padding time settings in Yawcam. Just guessing, but it appears that Yawcam does automatically save 2 seconds of video before the motion filter is activated, and 2 seconds of video after the motion filter is not seeing any changes?

Hi jkost, Thank you for this tip! I was able to configure the Max Filter value to ignore when one of the neighboring apartment's security lights turns off. Yet the neighboring apartment's security light does turn on when it detects the headlights of automobiles driving up the back alley. This isn't ...
