Actually, it is true of *any* java application versus native compiled applications.

I'm thinking it has more to do with Java. Maybe we should focus our attention to that. What I found was that when going from a 1 CPU to a 2 CPU the amount of CPU being taken up by the Java threads was upwards by as much as 3 - 4 times as much. ie: 1 CPU 900 mhz java taking about 15%; 2 CPU 1.8 Ghz ...

Wow, you're right. It's not possible. I'll fix that! /malun Malun, also, think about the possibility of secure SMTP (SSL) such as when connecting to Google's gmail smtp server - it requires an SSL connection; plus many other ISP's are starting to do this also. This would definitely be a nice featur...

Re: Could be possible to take pics more than 1 for a second

For example if a motion is detected to take pics as much as possible interval 0.3 sec . For now the lowest treshold is 1 sec. Why would you want to??? By doing so you will DRASTICALLY SATURATE YOUR PC - especially if you have a high quality percentage. And, unless you are looking for split second t...

Re: Yawcam Is Toast

It always freezes and no one on here will tell me how to make the supposedly improved beta detect my webcam. I've switched to www.stickam.com Well... I got my detection problem resolved by implementing malun's recommendation here http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=551 . Did you download an...

Offline?

 Yes, I still have had no resolution. Yet, if I use Yawviewer I can see the streaming webcam quite nicely, but the applet (now using the beta one since the problem of it not detecting my camera was resolved - see http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=551) still indicates Offline?

First, you did not indicate whether you were loading the applet from the page hosted by Yawcam, or by way of a webserver hosted page. If you are doing it via webserver hosting and using dynamic ip addressing the CODEBASE applet parameter indicates where to load the appllet from. Then, depending upon...

I'm not sure what goes wrong here... But I can tell that kwikone has uploaded the YawApplet.class to the webserver, and that could probably make some browsers confused? Delete the YawApplet.class from your webserver at http://www.vabid.com. The applet file shall be loaded from Yawcam via the CODEBA...

Beta - Problem viewing

:!: :D :!: Well, after installing the JMF YawCam now does detect the camera (right away, did not have to tell it to detect). :? But, I still cannot get it to work with the applet being in my website page but getting the applet and stream from my PC. (See other topic which I had posted) but does work...

Loading applet failed

First, how (exactly) do you have the CODEBASE declared? (And what version of Yawcam you are using) Next, I had similar problems if I had it declared as http://myserver:8081 and fixed it by removing the http part giving just myserver:8081 . Lastly, some have had the opposite problem where they have t...

USB Webcam detection

You did not indicate what version. I also have problems with the Beta (0.2.6>7) version not detecting my USB webcam, but no problems whatsoever with 0.2.6
