Re: Yawcam 0.4.2 RELEASED!
Java's days are numbered... there seem to be a lot of rumbling calling for its demise. Any plans to migrate or port Yawcam off Java? I'm no software developer so I have no idea of the feasibility, complexity and efforts required. Yawcam is a useful and well-developed application, and I think its fu...

Re: Yawcam BETA 2014-02-10
Even after reading the manual, the auto level settings is still quite confusing. The sensitivity bar is just adjusting itself way too much to the point where it's not even detecting motion when it is supposed to. The one I am getting most confused is the goal padding. I am looking for a solution whe...

Re: Yawcam BETA 2014-02-10
Hi malum, thank you for the beta release. What is the reference image detection algorithm and how does it work? For the auto level settings, can you explain each value's intention? For the new Motion Detection window, can the preview window be resized smaller? It's almost taking up my full 1080p HD ...

Re: Suggestion -Help eliminate false motion alerts
How about a different Motion Detection settings based on time? For example, 6:00 to 17:00 one setting and 17:00 to 6:00 another setting. Is this possible with the current version?

At settings, where you define the path for the images to be saved, enter: X :\SomeFolder\{ dateY }-{ dateM }-{ dateD }\{ tstampH }\File_{ dateY }-{ dateM }-{ dateD }_{ tstampH }-{ tstampM }-{ tstampS }.jpg ( X =the drive you want them to be saved) That'd create a folder named 2012-11-17 (current da...

I actually just browse through the pictures, I usually don't even look at them unless I get an e-mail from the motion detection and I want to see what happened before and after the motion was triggered. I used mencoder and compiles jpegs from current folder just fine. Now, how do I compile jpeg fil...

I don't use any, but I remember a thread on this forum using a batch file and an external application to automate the images to movie. I tried it, and it worked, but I didn't keep it. I'll post back if I find it. EDIT: Found it: http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1505 Thanks for the link. ...

images to movie (mutiple folders)
I saved my images in different folders based on date and time. When I want to make a movie, I have to go through each folder and select all the images. Is there a easier way to select all the images I want to make a movie without visiting each folder?
