It is possible to do audio with webcam software, all that is needed is an audio.jar applet to connect to. webcam32 has this feature.

This morning I went to run Yawcam on W2KPro machine and the program wouldn't load, the splash screen just stayed on the monitor, and nothing would happen from there. I just have to say that this Yawcam program is just about the coolest free or pay webcam software I have ever used. grab a jpg image from the yawcam directory?
Is it possible grab a jpg image from the yawcam folder and by using a script have that image show on the webpage along with the webcam viewer while using the streaming mode of the cam software?
