Nope, no logfile. But if you want to you can start yawcam with a different startfile. Then you will see a prompt with debug prints and error messages if somethings goes wrong. Get the file here . Never thought about this multi-user-problem... Yes you are correct, Yawcam will lock some files when it runs. This will cause problems. I'm afraid that you have to redirect/forward ports if your webcam is located behind a router.
