Create debug information

Post by malun »

It's possible to run Yawcam in debug mode. Yawcam will then save debug information in a text file while it is running.
Hopefully this file can help us figure out why something goes wrong. To run Yawcam in debug mode you will have to use an alternate start file.

The file is named debug_start.bat and is located in the directory where you installed Yawcam. (Typically C:\Program Files\Yawcam)
Double click this file to start Yawcam.

It is possible that you will get a prompt asking for permissions to let the software "Registry Editor" make changes to your computer. Click yes to allow the software.
(The permission is needed to locate the path to user's desktop)

Now when Yawcam has started, try to reproduce the problem/error. When the problem has occurred exit Yawcam.
You will now have a file named yawcam_debug_log.txt saved on your desktop.

This file will be of help when we try to understand the problem.
