Trouble with internet viewing

Post by ThrottleIt »

Hello and thanks first off!

I have been trying and trying to get this so I can check my cam when out and about but can not get it to work properly. I keep getting an error on both 8888 and 8801 when checking to see if my camera is online. I have allowed in the firewall, ( as best as I know). I did set it to connect with UPNP and I set the router manually for both ports 8888 and 8801 as described. I am using a Linksys AC1200+ router that is connected to my modem and feeding from my router to a Linksys AC1900+ extender. I can't imagine that my modem would be blocking anything? The program is picking up my camera fine and I can see it on my PC, but when I try to find it online, say through my phone when out, it gives a no access error.

Does anyone have any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
Thank you!

Verify that the port forwarding settings on your router are correctly configured for ports 8888 and 8801, as described in your camera's documentation. Ensure that the forwarding rules are pointing to the correct local IP address of your camera. Candy Crush

Some routers have built-in security settings that can block certain types of connections or restrict access from external networks.
