Login in the NAT network

Post by aiib »

Is there a remote connecting solution when the camera is behind NAT?
If so I would love for help and guidance
Thank you

There is no automatic NAT traversal.
You will have to open a port in your router to allow traffic to Yawcam.
More info about that here:

Thanks to your response!
For me the problem is more severe, not just NAT but it is NAT that includes thousands of users
Everyone uses the same NAT because they use content filtering.
Does this also have a solution?!

Thank you very much!
I would love to answer!

No. If you don't control the router where the NAT is performed, it will be hard to make this work.

'It's hard' does it mean that it is in a certain way?
Is there a way to worry about an independent server? I mean, the camera will broadcast to the server and then can I access the server?
I would be very happy if you could be a solution for me!

You can always use FTP to upload images to an external web server.
Then NAT will not be a problem. However, this only works for still images.

Other solutions for live streams require some kind of relay server to travel through the NAT. Yawcam does not support that.

Thanks again for your response!
Is there a built -in server in your software to upload the photos or should I build my own server?

Do you have a guide for that?
I would be grateful!!

Thank you dear man !!
