image freezed on windows 7

Post by mcruzmx »

im using the version 0.3.7 built: 2011-11-09 with java version 1.6.0_30 from sun microsystems inc. and windows 7 professional 64 bits build 7601 on a Dell Pentium Dual-Core CPU e5500 @ 2.80Ghz (2 Cpus) ~ 2.8Ghz, 4096 MB Ram.

The problem is that the image get freezed in sometime, specialy when windows shows the screen saver (and ask for the login password), the way im fixing this problem is just to close yawcam, disconnect the camara (usb) and connect it again, then open yawcam, but this is very fustrating, i would like to know if i can fix this problem in another way...

i have another pc with pentium 4, 512 ram, windows xp sp2, and is the same problem.

i use yawcam as security software with the cams, of course i need to have opened the yawcam all day and night, i use stream output (where the camara image get frezzed) with text over the image (time, this dont get freezed, it still working), i use scheduler to set the time i want to save files and for the motion option.

does anybody has an idea? thanks.

Just disable the screensaver & switch off the monitor when you are away.
That will solve your freezing problem & save the environment from wasted
electricity! ;)

Are you sure that the computer isn't going to sleep after a set amount of time?
