Are you sure you don't have anything else enabled, like "Motion Detection"?
Does the "release hack" have the right filename (releasecamera.txt) & is it
placed in the right folder? What is the interval between FTP uploads?

No MotionDetction.
I copied and pasted the "releasecamera.txt" as the filename when saving the text file, just to get it right.
Its in /Users/.yawcam
5 second FTP intervals.

Would I be better off, turning streaming on and disabling ftp for the releasecamera?

If you have a 5 seconds FTP interval then the camera will be released for only
3-4 seconds before the FTP function uses it again. This hack is for releasing the
camera when it's not in use by yawcam. So you need to have bigger intervals
or use the Streaming. (But it won't work with Streaming either for as long as a
user is connected to it.)

Good to know! I've tried programs like splitcam and manycam to try and create a virtual cam to use multiple programs but havnt been successful after the computer reboots. Any other ideas?

I have the same problem, relase hack is not working at all.

Only streaming is enabled, no viewers connected, preview window closed.

As soon as i start yawcam it blocks my camera. txt file is located in the right place.

Any ideas?

Thanks
