UNABLE TO ACCESS FROM INTERNET

Post by khobbs1 »

Ok, this is my first post and have found this software extremely useful, however, I am unable to access my webcam from the internet.

This is going to be long as I have done everything I can think of and have read about, so here are all the details:

1. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Toshiba laptop, built in Chicony USB 2.0 webcam
2. Yawcam 0.3.9
3. WRT310N Linksys wireless AP/Router firmware version v1.0.07-LS-HND
4. Motorola Cable modem from TWC

I am able to access internally, but not externally. Things I have tried so far:
1. UPnP - off and on - when on the stream and http are found and mapped to the correct port and local ip address
2. static ip on laptop configured
3. port forwarded for 8888 and 8081 with static ip - with UPnP enabled and disabled
4. Turned off all firewalls - windows, antivirus, wrt310
5. Using port checking tools to confirm/deny open port - I question this as I currently have a slingbox with port forwarded and tools report not open, however, I can access from internet
6. Rebooted laptop and router
7. Uninstall, reboot, reinstalled yawcam
8. Added rules to firewall for inbound / outbound opening ports and allowing access for yawcam and javaw
9. Tried using duc - entering name and external ip address, disabling detect and use upnp
10. Different ports - have also tried using 9888, 9088 and 9081, 9881
11. Tried different ip addresses - ..102, 88
12. Unchecked - detect at startup and use upnp
13. Know my internal ip address from the public ip address - duc reports correct mapping, all 3 are green - name to external ip address
14. Used cell phones and external partners to test
15. I am using run as administrator

[09:21] Yawcam started

[09:21] Language: English
[09:21] Http-output started
[09:21] Stream-output started

[09:21] UPNP: Found device Linksys Inc. Internet Access Server WRT310N
[09:21] UPNP: Port 8888/TCP mapped to xxx.xxx.x.88
[09:21] UPNP: Port 8081/TCP mapped to xxx.xxx.x.88

Yawcam online check
This page will check if your webcam is visible on Internet.

Progress -- external ip addresses:

Checking Http URL: http://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:8888 ... Error!

Checking Stream URL: http://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:8081 ... Error!

I have read many threads in this forum and tried the various recommendations, without success.

If anyone is able to assist, I would be greatful, I have tried to get this working for a week now. I do have teamviewer, not real familar with using it though.

Thanks in advance.

We can try teamviewer if you like, i'm likelier to find the problem quickly than posting on the forum back and forth.

This would be great, how do we proceed? I have teamviewer 7 running, should i start instant meeting?

Thank you sooooo much.

Nevermind, I was just doing some research on applications and webcams, not that important.

Thanks for the opportunity to test.
