Buttons disabled

At start the buttons are disabled and i have this message in the console : "Warning: System Events not supported in this java version. Upgrade to java 9 or above!" ...
Regarding the disabled buttons:
Make sure that the scheduler is disabled. Click:
Settings -> Edit settings... -> Scheduler
