Issues when adding a SMTP server

Hello everyone! I just downloaded YAWCam and I'm now setting up a smtp server to send emails when motion is detected. Every time i put in my SMTP details i get the same error:
Mail: Could not connect to SMTP host: (smtp isp), port 465.
I tried with gmail's smtp and libero's but none of them work. What am I doing wrong?
