yawcam fails sending email on motion detection

Hi all,
I installed YC on 3 PCs and only on one of those I'm getting troubles with email sending on motion detection.
Exactly the same settings on each PC.
On that PC I can successfully send email (with powershell for example) with the same parameters (from, to, smtp server, port#, ssl).
The console gets me the error like this: "fail to connect to the SMTP server"
but the smtp server is the same of the other PCs, everything is identical.
and with powershell or telnet I can reach the smtp server...
I tried to explicitly allow the YC app (both yawcam.exe and yawcam_service.exe) on the windows firewall, no other firewalls on the machines.
I see that YC detects the motion and says "email sent to my mailbox", but nothing arrives... neither in SPAM.
what else I can try?
