Stream only on localhost unless firewall disabled

Post by theNerm333 »

I am unable to gain access to the Stream on any other device besides the one where Yawcam is installed.

I have added all .exe's(Yawcam.exe, Yawcam_service.exe, etc) into Windows Firewall and have forwarded the ports in my router. UPnP is unselected in the app.

I understand this is a firewall issue, but I'm unsure what else to do as I've made the rules and it still doesn't work, even from another PC on the same network. If I disable Windows Firewall completely I can connect from anywhere.

Since Yawcam is a Java program, you will need to allow Java's executable in the firewall.
The file will be named "javaw.exe" and is typically located here (if you are using Oracle's java distribution):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Oracle\Java\javapath

I you are using a different java distribution like Adoptium, it is typically located like this:
C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jre-21.0.2.13-hotspot\
