Changing sound alert when viewer connects

I would like to change the "alert.wav" file in the sound directory to a different sound.
I have tried several times and nothing works. It is now just silent when the pop up comes up showing someone connected.
Anyone have any ideas?

What did you do exactly ?
A simular question was posted in the past.
A question "How to change the loading picture ?"
In that case it you only had to replace the picture by a picture of your choice (of which you changed the name).

So you can try to pick another WAV file.
Change the name into Alert.wav and overwright the original file in the directory "C:\Program Files\Yawcam\sound".
Make a copy of the original file first, in case this does not work.

That's exactly what I tried, but it does not play the new wav file. (and yes, the box is checked to play sound when viewer connects).

Then i'm afraid i have no other ideas.
I'm curious if someone does know a soluton / work around for this.

I placed the original alert.wav file back and it plays the sound fine. Strange it can't play any other wav file of the same name. Maybe it can only play a sound of a certain length or file size? The new wav file I tried was only 4 seconds long and 196kb.
Hope someone else has tried this and had better luck than I.

Hi, maybe it's late for the answer but i found what is the problem.

The wav file you seem to select is certainly not at 44 Khz frequency.
Use Audacity sound editor (it's free) to change the frequency of your sound. see image.
Cheers.

I don't think this is the correct answer.
